IT Infrastructure Cabling Plan - Phase II
Columbia, MD – June 30, 2005 –QSSI, a provider of IT solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a Prime Contract from the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) to implement Phase II of the IT Infrastructure Cabling Plan at the new DOT Headquarters building. The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) is relocating and consolidating its employees to a new headquarters facility located at the Southeast Federal Center at M Street and New Jersey Avenue (the ‘SFC’ building). DOT new Headquarters include a two-tower, 9-story office building.
This work include: review current physical telecommunications infrastructure, design and assess goals and guidelines for the project, compare objectives to proposed solution(s), install telecommunications data cabling and power, install data rack(s) and termination devices, configure equipment, install equipment, terminate all electrical/telecommunications connections, test all telecommunications connections, analyze test data, maintain and report inventory of Government Furnished Items, certify all telecommunications connections, provide sign-off and work review documentation, comply to all local, state and Federal Government codes and standards.
