QSSI to Demonstrate FIPS 201 Card Issuance and Integration with PACS and LACS at the Biometric Tech Expo
Columbia, MD – August 24 , 2007 - Visitors will be able to have their fingerprints and photos taken, and immediately receive a fully compliant, FIPS 201-1 card that they can then use with Physical Access Control Systems and for desktop and application sign‑on. The action takes place at the QSSI booth (#503) at the 2007 Biometrics Technology Expo, September 11-13, in Baltimore. (2007 Biometrics Technology Expo)
All HSPD-12 workflow, from sponsorship to validation to printing PIV‑2 cards, will be performed on the spot. Once users receive their HSPD‑12 cards, they will immediately be able to gain entry to COTS PACS and LACS. Our programming is proprietary, but all components are industry-standard, well‑known COTS products on the GSA/NIST approved products list (APL). Specifically, we use a Canon PowerShot A640 camera; a Cross Match L Scan Guardian 10-print fingerprint reader; an ActivIdentity Card Management Server 4.0; CA eTrust Identity Access Management Suite, and Sun identity-access manager. Hirsch provides the physical access control system. When the card rolls out of the Fargo printer, the applicant may immediately use it there with PACS and LACS.
QSSI can arrange such a compact, on-site installation because it has a history of speedy implementation of complex solutions. As an , small business, QSSI is in a unique position to accommodate federal agencies, because it is already approved by the General Services Administration as an HSPD-12 system integrator.
