  • Team Lead for the Customer Support for Medicare Modernization (CSMM) Medicare Advantage & Part D (MAPD) Help Desk. The MAPD Help Desk provides support services to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) business partners and third parties for the Medicare Advantage and Part D (MAPD) systems. These organizations include Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plans (MA-PDs), Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs), and third parties conducting data exchanges with CMS on behalf of MA/MA-PD/PDPs. The MAPD Help Desk provides these organizations with startup/implementation and ongoing assistance for connectivity to, and data exchanges with, CMS systems. The MAPD Help Desk also provides these organizations with ongoing operational support to monitor and troubleshoot their data exchanges, resolve systems problems and obtain technical systems information relative to their business operations administering Parts C and D of the Medicare program.

Job Function

  • Supervise staff of 22 Help Desk Representatives with up to 12 direct reports.
  • Ensure that the Representatives adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Act as technical point of escalation for Help Desk Representatives.
  • Direct the troubleshooting efforts of Help Desk Representatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the MAPD Help Desk and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D Customer Support Team (CST).

The Operations Manager (OM) will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Home Equity Reverse Mortgage (HECM) Service are operating at desired Service Levels. The HECM service is an outsourced solution used by Lenders, Servicers and Government staff to manage reverse mortgages from origination to termination. The OM will be responsible for oversight of the helpdesk operations and hosting services for the loan management application and associated Subsidiary Ledger Accounting application (ALTIMATE). The OM will also be overseeing subcontractor-provided accounting services associated with maintaining the Home Equity Reverse Mortgage Portfolio.

The HECM solution is a completely outsourced “loan management” application combined with associated accounting functions. It has approximately 15 interfaces to federal agencies and external service providers. To ensure continuity in the event of hardware or software failure, a disaster recovery site will be maintained for both the core applications and help-desk operations.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Optimize hosting infrastructure to provide for efficient operations and compliance with expected performance criteria.
  • Manage and monitor hosting staff for both primary and back-up facilities.
  • Develop business continuity & disaster recovery strategy.
  • Responsible for coordination between helpdesk subcontractor, accounting services subcontractor and application support subcontractors.

Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle processes, Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model - Integration (CMMI); experience setting up and using an electronic process asset library to store organizational process assets and best practices that are used by team members to improve performance.
