QSSI Announces Award of the CMS Single Testing Contractor (STC)
Columbia, MD — September 30, 2009 –Maryland-based Quality Software Services, Inc (QSSI) was recently award a prime contract for the Single Testing Contractor (STC) with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to provide independent testing services for all Medicare Part-A and B Fee-for-Service standard systems under the CMS Enterprise Services Delivery (ESD) model. The CMS ESD model separates the development, maintenance, and testing of major applications into three independent contracts. Award of the STC contract to QSSI marks the largest single award for testing under the ESD model and complements QSSI’s Medicare Beneficiary Database Suite of Systems (MBDSS) testing contract for CMS Medicare Parts C and D systems.
QSSI performs systems, functional, integration, volume regression, and smoke testing, as well as provides the STC testing environment, including all related hardware, software, and connectivity required to host and test instances of the CMS Common Working File (CWF), Multi-Carrier System (MCS), Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS), the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS), and the ViPS Medicare System (VMS).
