QSSI Achieves CMMI® Maturity Level 3 Rating

Gaithersburg, MD – August 1, 2008 – QSSI is pleased to announce that it has been successfully appraised as a CMMI® Maturity Level 3 organization effective August 1, 2008. A CMMI-DEV SCAMPI Class-A appraisal was performed by a team of independent SEI-trained and authorized CMMI® appraisers led by a SCAMPI Lead Appraiser. The appraisal team concluded that QSSI has implemented a disciplined process to manage, monitor and control its IT projects.

During the appraisal process, the SEI trained external appraisal team identified several strengths across the entire organization. Notably, the organizational process improvement objectives were found to be accomplished through a systematic Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle of milestone reviews involving participants from throughout the organization; Senior management was significantly involved at all levels and their interaction with the project teams and key stakeholders was noted to be consistent and substantive throughout each projects’ lifecycle.
